2.Video of Usage
Please refer to this sample video in .wmv format on how to use GCellIQ software for image analysis.
Installation
Please download all the files into one folder, on the local machine. Change the current
Matlab directory to the folder containing the downloaded files and add current folder and
all subfolders into Matlab path. To run the software, type ‘GCellIQ_V1’ in the command window of Matlab. To test the software, the SampleData.zip should be decompressed into
the folder, where the GCellIQ_V1 exists.
Hardware/Software and image requirement
GCellIQ is running under Matlab environment. Before the installation, the following should have
been installed on the local machine:
1. Matlab version 7.0 or up (http://www.mathworks.com/products/matlab/).
2. Matlab toolbox:
- image processing toolbox
- statistics toolbox
- bioinformatics toolbox
GCellIQ is designed to deal with High-content screen images, which can be very big with many wells. There is a requirement about memory whose minimal size should be 1G (2G is recommended). With 1G memory size, the maximal image size to be processed is 1024*1024 per slice. The size of 512*512 per slice is recommended. Since GCellIQ can run at background without human interference, there is no strict requirement about the CPU.
